Relay for Life

Team ABCP participated in our 10th Relay this year!! We had such a great time. We got set up and it was HOT!! It was nice for a few hours and then we started to get word that a bad storm was heading our way from SLC with significant wind gusts. You could see the storm make its way over the Wellsville Mountains so we started scrambling to get things down. We no sooner got it down than the storm hit and boy did it hit!! My cousin Janalee's tent all but blew away. We were holding the corners of our canopies so they didn't blow away and it poured and poured. Some teams chose to bail, but cancer doesn't stop for storms so we didn't stop. We had our usual Jar Drawing and I am never ceased to be amazed at the generosity of the local business that give us items for this no questions asked! We enjoy the time to hang out as family and help raise money for a good cause- a cause that is very near and dear to our family! See you next year Relay!! (Lots of pictures to follow.)

The Relay starts off with a Survivor Lap- this year they had the bystanders write a message to the person they helped through their cancer journey. I don't think there is ever a dry eye when this lap occurs- there are cancer survivors from little toddlers clear up to older people.

We made this sign for our dear friend and cancer fighter Patty Jones. I am so glad we made it- she saw it and shed some tears. And sadly a few short weeks after the Relay Patty lost her fight that she has been fighting for years! Such a great example- you will be missed Patty!

The storm hits!!

Miss Cache Valley was there and was as cute as can be with the kids. She took them for a stroll in the wagon and then to top things off- she let them wear her crown! The gals were thrilled!

Bear Lake pt. 2

Brooklyn really wanted to go to Pickleville Playhouse to see "The Hanging of Juanito Bandito" her, my mom, Nat, and I went and we were SO glad we went because it is HILARIOUS!!!! We all loved it- Brooklyn was thrilled to get a picture with Juanito and the Sheriff- I went to High School with Juanito so it was fun to see his amazing talent! The mustaches were quite a hit and the kiddos cracked me up. When we came out from the show it was pouring!!! Can't wait to go next year...

Bear Lake and 4th Fun

We had our annual trip to Bear Lake over the 4th. I LOVE Bear Lake- I have such great memories from my childhood and I am so grateful that my gals are able to get some of those same memories!! The gals and I were able to spend a full week up there- Sean came and went due to work. The kids spent a great deal of their time outside playing in the water. We had great food, company, and fun!! We spent a couple days at the lake- my cousin Kami and her husband Kyle brought up his families WaveRunners and we had a blast! Thank you for treating us so well Bear Lake!!

On of our daily "Dog Runs" we like to go to the Chevron and get a Diet Coke, the BEST raspberry shake around, and some will get a hot dog. Garrett thought that a dog run was going to get a puppy and take it for a run!

The kids looked so cute in their 4th outfits but had no desire to be good for a picture!

Since fireworks were banned, we did the next best thing and let the kiddos dance around with glowsticks while listening to "Firework" by Katy Perry

Brooklyn had gotten this fun whale for her birthday- the lake was the perfect spot for the massive thing. The kids had so much fun playing on it.

We tried out this Paddle Board and had a blast! Brooklyn and I were naturals- Sean eventually got the hang of it.
